Empowering vulnerable children and youth

Vocational training and accompaniment into the working world

The children of the children’s homes and the FEP also receive practical vocational training after finishing school. This is usually done in the form of an apprenticeship, which is subject to a fee in Uganda. The vocational graduates are equipped with a career entry gift adapted to their profession (for example, a sewing machine or high-quality tools) and released to work as self-employed people. For some gifted and motivated young people, GHU provides sponsors for university studies.
