Empowering vulnerable children and youth

Former home children become employees ...

Our God helps Uganda philosophy: We take responsibility for the children and adolescents who live in our GHU children’s homes as well as for those who take part in the family encouragement program until they have completed their vocational training. It is important to us that the young adults can lead an independent and self-reliant life after their time at God helps Uganda. But the doors to God helps Uganda remain open to the former children whenever they need advice or an open ear.

Since the beginning of God helps Uganda in 1998, several hundred children and adolescents have gone through the FEP or children’s home institutions. Many of these former children now stand on their own two feet and have spouses and children.
